Starving people to make a point.

There are two things you are likely hearing about the current shutdown of government the first of which is a complete lie… namely that because Republicans control the Executive Branch and hold majorities in the House and the Senate, it is somehow their fault the government has been shut down so long.

Along with this the usual suspects will trot out the fact that Trump has been President during the two longest shutdowns in the nation’s history and somehow it’s his fault.

Sorry, simple not true.

See, the holdup right now comes do to the fact that you need more than a simple majority in the Senate to pass legislation. There’s a reason that rule is in effect because it gives whoever is in the minority some say, some power in what happens in as far as legislation goes.

Well, the government finally reopened, right?

WHAT A BIG DIFFERENCE THAT MADE!!!!!

Think about it for a second, they shut down the government for ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! These are the same people that run around being hysterical about all sorts of things but the truth is they don‘t really make things better.

Now, what’s great is that as the year turns over you’ll likely hear the same carping from the usual suspects but take a good long look at the things they’ve done and they really hope you have a short memory.

They don’t want you to remember the ridiculous level of inflation between 2021 and 2024, inflation that was worse than during the Carter years. They don’t want you to remember how they told everyone that the border was secure and if you questioned them or better still called you a racist even though you could see it with your own eyes. They would hate for you to remember that before Ukraine was invaded that Joe Biden was downplaying any invasion. They also like it if you forgot that in the days after the botched withdrawal from Afghanistan where we left a ton of military equipment behind (which I’m thinking Ukraine would have loved to be able to use instead of us paying for more militate equipment all over again)… they’d like it if you forgot that Biden and company killed an aid worker’s family including his children. They’d also like it if you forgot the blanket pardons Biden gave his family on his way out the door.

These are today’s Democrats. Don’t believe your lying eyes… just believe their lies.
